Vicente Fernández was a Mexican singer and actor. He was nicknamed El Charro de Huentitán. He became a cultural icon in Mexico, having recorded over 50 albums over his lifetime. Fernández’s work earned him three Grammy Awards, nine Latin Grammy Awards and a spot in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Vicente Fernández was born on 17 February 1940. He is one of the best-selling regional Mexican singers of all time. He has been called the “Idol Of Mexico” and the “Frank Sinatra of Ranchera Music”. In 2016, Fernández retired from performing live, although he continued to record and publish music. He passed away on 12 December 2021.
