Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an American jurist. She served as the associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1993 until her death in 2020. Ginsberg was the second woman to serve in the U.S Supreme Court. Ginsber spent most of her career fighting for gender equality and women’s equality. She’d come to be popularly known as “the notorious RBG” for being ruthlessly blunt with her liberal views.
Ruth Ginsburg was born in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Ginsburg attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, from where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts. She later enrolled in the Harvard Law School, where she was one of the 9 women in a class of 500 men. At the start of her career, she encountered difficulties finding employment as a lawyer, mainly due to her gender. Ginsburg spent her career as a vociferous advocate of feminism and gender rights. Throughout her career, she’d fought many landmark cases and challenged numerous patriarchal laws in the U.S. She passed at the age of 87, from complications of metastatic pancreatic.

You’ll often face many hurdles in life. But what seems as obstacles at first glance are often opportunities that help you grow and learn. Never back down from any challenge life throws at you for there’s always a silver lining to everything.

People will often criticise and judge you no matter what you do. If you really wish to move forward in life, you need to be able to turn a blind to them. If all those negative criticisms are pulling you down, close your ears to them.

The constitution acknowledges the right to equality tehta everyone is born with. So it isn’t a revolutionary act if you’re asking for equal treatment irrespective of your gender as it already is embedded in the constitution.

Women have always been discriminated on the basis of their sex throughout history. What the society has often failed to understand is that they are just as capable as men and deserve the same opportunities as men.

The idea that women have to be the one with the responsibility to take children is an archaic belief, one that needs to be obsolete. A child is just as much of a responsibility of the father as it is to the mother.

Women have throughout history been discriminated against and held back by the patriarchal notions of gender roles. It is no favor to be done for them, as they deserve the opportunities that men enjoy.

Feminism is a movement that started as a noble fight against patriarchal notions that has always held back women. Every human being, irrespective of their gender, has the right to follow their dreams and feminism aims to achieve that goal.

To be independent is the most important goal that one can achieve. You need to be able to make your own decisions and follow your own dreams without having to rely on another.

Power has the ability to corrupt even the most morally pure ones. No human can be trusted with extreme powers as we all have the ability to bend our own moral codes to our needs.
