Sid, the kid next door to Andy’s, is probably one of the most terrifying villains in the Toy Story movies. His weird obsession with cutting and mutilating toys for the sake of it is what makes him so horrifying. In one of the scenes, as Woody and Buzz watch the kid dismember a toy as he pretends to be a doctor, Buzz’s casual remark makes the scene more unnerving.

After escaping from Sid’s house, Buzz and Woody make their way to Andy’s house by strapping a rocket to their backs and lighting it. As they glide across the sky, Woody remarks that they are flying. Buzz corrects him that they are actually “Falling in style” – a sly reference to what Woody said to Buzz about his flying skills earlier in the movie.

Buzz and Woody’s relationship started off with clear hostility and blossomed into a beautiful friendship. When Woody is stolen by a toy collector, Buzz rallies the other toys and sets up a mission to save his friend. He swears to not rest until Woody is brought back safely.

Woody and Buzz started off as clear enemies. After Woody accidentally knocks him out of the window, Buzz tracks him down and confronts him. He tells him that revenge is not a habit on his supposed planet. But then, he reminds him that they aren’t on their planet and attacks him out of nowhere.

After being stolen by the toy collector, Woody realises that he is a rare collector’s item. Woody decides to start a new life in a museum where he will be preserved and appreciated forever. When Buzz arrives to save him, Woody refuses to go back to Andy’s out of fear of being abandoned when Andy grows up. Buzz reminds him that he is a toy, a reference to what Woody told him in the first movie to get him out of his delusion of being a space ranger.

In one of the most bittersweet moments in the entire franchise, Buzz and Woody part ways and say their goodbyes. After leaving him behind, one of the toys asks Buzz if Woody is lost. Buzz remarks that he’s not lost anymore. Their beautiful friendship comes to an end as they go their separate ways. But rather than being sad, Buzz is happy that Woody has found a purpose and is more than happy about it.

While they are stranded in the arcade, Woody unleashes all his wrath upon Buzz and rants about how much he despises and hates him. Buzz responds in the softest tone and calls him a sad, little man. Although they were at each other’s necks at the start of the movie, they soon became the best of friends.

Buzz sometimes has the best words of comfort up his sleeves. When Rex is insecure about himself and worried that he can never be as good of a space ranger as Buzz, he tells him that he has the potential to be a better space ranger than Buzz himself.
