Simone Arianne Biles is an American artistic gymnast. Biles is the most decorated American gymnast with a whopping total of 30 Olympic and World Championship medals. She is regarded by many to be the greatest and most dominant gymnast of all time. Biles is the gymnast with the most World medals (25) and most World gold medals (19).
Biles was born on March 14, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio. She had a tough life as a child since her birth mother, Shanon Biles, was unable to care for Simone or her other children and all four went in and out of foster care. Biles first tried gymnastics at 6 years old as part of a day-care field trip after which she was enrolled in multiple training programs throughout her life.
