Sir Reginald adopted many kids, but safe to say, he didn’t know how to raise them. Learning from his father’s failed parenthood, Diego, at a very early age, decided to be a better father to his own child in the future.

Living as someone their entire life only to realise it’s not their true self can be harsh on anybody. Being with Sissy unlocked a new side in Vanya, a side she knew existed but didn’t know how to express. Accepting her true self, Vanya comes out as transgender and changes her name to Viktor.

Trained to be superheroes from childhood, the Umbrella Academy never really understood the concept of family. Having a dictator for a father, a robot for a mother, a dead brother and equally messed up siblings, they couldn’t keep up with a normal family facade for long.

Growing up with scary blood thirsty siblings, Sloane had never had the opportunity to go out and explore the world. Hearing Luther’s adventures, she longs for the day she’d be freely able to step out of the house.

Not much to brag about, but for someone who initiated doomsday twice and saved it both the times (with her siblings of course), Vanya played at a much higher field than Marcus, whose only expertise was close combat.

Finally understanding and accepting his true sexuality, Viktor couldn’t go back to being Vanya. Being a girl had suffocated him his entire life, but now he felt free and confident in himself.

Elmer was an intelligent yet foolish boy. He created a time machine, travelled back in time and killed his grandfather which led to a grandfather paradox as according to the new timeline, Elmer should’ve never been born. Don’t travel back in time and erase your existence.

Luther is like Baymax from Big Hero 6. An incredibly powerful yet sweet guy who cares for everyone. He holds principles for himself and doesn’t wish to choose or betray anyone.

Confronted by Klaus, Sir Reginald confesses that he had nothing to do with the murders of the Umbrella Academy’s birth mothers. Seeing Klaus as a stranger, he had nothing to gain if he lied anyway.

Diagnosing himself with oppositional defiant disorder, Klaus realises that he spent most of his time acting out against his father who gave him nothing but childhood trauma. Seeing this as a new chance, he thinks he could reconnect with his father in a normal father-son relationship.

Five sub-consciously craved critical situations that could get his brain working. Facing the apocalypse a number of times led Five to use his talent, which under normal situations, was wasted in stopping robberies and crime.

Leaving her daughter to avoid doomsday and then leaving her husband in the past to go back to her daughter in the future, only to discover that she didn’t exist, took a heavy toll on Allison. With no visible solution in sight, she grieves at her hopeless situation.
13 Even after my voice came back, I knew the cost of standing up and speaking out. Living every day under threat that you or someone you loved would disappear or fall victim to some heinous crime. – Allison
Allison wasn’t the type of person to sit back and watch when people were threatened in front of her. Surrounded by the constant fear of discrimination, she chose to stand up and lend her voice to all those who had been suffering for being of colour.

Since childhood, Diego was trained to fight and be on constant alert for danger. In the absence of comfort when he was at his low, he did the only thing he was good at; fighting.

Sir Reginald saw the Umbrella Academy as a bunch of unskilled misfits who, even though didn’t have much regard for one another, were successful in saving the world together from an all out war between America and Russia. Maybe you don’t get much time to bathe when you’re actively trying to save the world.
