1 I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading
Reading is an amazing hobby. We all should inculcate a habit to read just five minutes a day, if not more. Where we stand five years from now, depends on how much time we give to our reading.
2 You know, the Egyptians used to worship cats
Cats are known to be very aware of their surroundings. They become selfish when they feel that the situation is turning against them. Sometimes, we too should think about ourselves first and then about everybody else.
3 Mudblood and proud of it
It’s a highly offending term used for people who were not born to already wizard parents. It’s no fault of theirs. This shows that there is nepotism to some extent in whatever field we go. But regardless of what side we are on, we will be accepted only if we work hard and do not take our work for granted.
4 Actually I’m highly logical which allows me to look past extraneous detail and perceive clearly that which others overlook
Emotions do not always help you to get something. You should be empathetic but to a required level only. At the end of the day, being impractical or irrational may put you and others in a bog.
5 Next time there’s a ball, ask me before someone else does, and not as a last resort
You should never think very highly of yourself but at the same time you should never think that you are any less. Self respect should be of utmost importance. Give time to yourself. You need to feel good yourself first so that others may feel good too in your presence.
6 Just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn’t mean we all have!
We are all different individuals and we all have different individual characteristics. Everybody has their own range of emotions for every other thing and it should be equally respected. Nobody should be forced and they all should be given freedom to express it explicitly.
7 I’m hoping to do some good in the world!
Your life only serves its purpose when you serve others. We are social beings and hence we should not have any doubts about serving the society. We attain true happiness when we serve happiness.
8 Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself
Fear is in our heads. We assume that something might give us pain in future that’s why we fear. We are not willing to take any risks in life, we are so accustomed to being served everything on a platter.
9 Books! And cleverness! There are more important things! — Friendship! And Bravery!
We forget about the little things in life which actually matter while chasing the ones that give us temporary happiness and contentment. Money may give you a medium to have many things around you, but a paycheck almost never lets you sigh with a heart swollen with happiness.
10 I mean, it’s sort of exciting isn’t it? Breaking the rules
Rules are meant to be broken. Life would be pointless if it is to be spent within the four walls and with absolutely no freedom to explore. Rules pose restrictions on you and you cannot introspect with restrictions on.
11 Cause that’s exactly the kind of intelligent insult you throw down right before you punch a guy like Malfoy in the nose. (He had it coming.)
Power is not always required to beat someone. Words can become your sword. Knowledge can become your weapon to fight against someone, regardless of how powerful your contender is
12 Of course she would be thinking about Harry’s birthday cake instead of the gobs of death eaters who tried to kill them all just now. Of course she would
Make something positive out of the negative. After all, even maths has taught us that two negatives make a positive. Ignoring any one of them is not an option, because that would not make the positive.
13 So that’s little Scorpious. Make sure you beat him in every test, Rosie. Thank god you’ve inherited your mother’s brains
We should always and always be grateful for what we already have rather than fighting for what we don’t have and missing out on life. Gratitude should always be there in your prayers and you should be thankful for whatsoever you have been bestowed with.
14 I mean, you could claim that anything’s real if the only basis for believing in it is that nobody’s proved it doesn’t exist!
When we are ourselves not aware of something, anyone could befool us. It is important to have at least a basic knowledge of everything to live with dignity.
